Too bad, as I was really gettin' into the story and they lost me. Instead Iovara contradicts herself with all the "paragraph A" stuff I wrote above. Maybe Iovara didn't know all those details yet, but then how does she know any of it? Why didn't she tell me something more akin to paragraph "B" which would have really elevated the story. However, the writing here is so lazy that it's like, someone forgot to tell us. Generous readers will ASSUME to the benefit of the developers that (B) Glanfathans discovered some kind of 2-pronged technology allowing them to communicate with worshippers from beyond while extending their lives from body to body. Thaos is working for the god ."Īctive readers will find this contradictory. Then she goes on to talk about gods constantly. Starting with the obvious: Iovara tells me there are no gods.
